Build one of the most impressive trucks in Tamiya’s legendary 1/14 scale RC Tractor Truck Series with the magnificent Scania R620 Highline 6×4.

At approximately 458mm long, the R620 is an imposing three-axle tractor unit packed with the scale detail and mechanical engineering that have made Tamiya RC trucks so popular with builders around the world.

Tamiya has faithfully recreated the distinctive appearance of the full-size Scania R620 Highline, from its aerodynamic cab and detailed grille to the realistic chassis, suspension and drivetrain underneath.

Superb Scale Detail

The beautifully reproduced cab can be tilted forward independently of the front fenders, just like the full-size Scania. The fenders themselves can also be removed, allowing the truck to realistically represent different operating configurations.

Fine exterior detailing continues throughout the model, including carefully reproduced inner and outer fenders and a front grille featuring mesh material for an impressively realistic appearance.

Add a compatible Tamiya lighting or Multi-Function system and the truck can be equipped with operational front and rear lighting for even greater realism.

Realistic 3-Speed Transmission

This isn’t simply a scale model that happens to move. Underneath the detailed body is a proper 3-speed transmission, giving the Scania a much more engaging driving experience.

When used with a suitable 4-channel radio system, gears can be changed remotely while the truck is being driven.

Power comes from the included 540-size motor, with a propeller shaft transferring drive through the chassis to the rear wheels. A pin-type propeller shaft joint helps reduce frictional losses for smooth operation.

Heavy-Duty Ladder Frame Chassis

Just like a real tractor unit, the R620 is built around a strong ladder-frame chassis.

Aluminium channels are combined with resin crossmembers to create a durable foundation for the truck’s drivetrain, suspension and detailed bodywork.

The front and rear suspension uses metal leaf springs and coil-spring dampers, while the durable die-cast metal front axle is float-mounted for realistic movement.

At the rear, the model features a differential-equipped axle to help provide smooth and realistic handling.

Ready for a Tamiya Trailer

The included fifth-wheel coupler allows the Scania R620 to be paired with compatible Tamiya 1/14 scale semi-trailers, giving you the opportunity to create a complete scale articulated truck combination.

Required to Complete

This is an RC assembly kit and requires additional equipment to complete and operate. A suitable radio system, battery, charger, steering/gear-change servos and compatible electronic speed control or Tamiya Multi-Function Unit will be required depending on your chosen setup.

Body finishing and assembly equipment are also required.

For the ultimate scale experience, the Scania can be upgraded with a compatible Tamiya Multi-Function Control Unit, adding realistic truck sounds, lighting and additional functions.
