Which Mini-Z is right for you?
- Racing on a smooth floor or track – choose a rear-wheel-drive MR-04 (the latest) or MR-03. These are the Mini-Z race cars.
- Easiest to drive, any indoor floor – the four-wheel-drive Mini-Z AWD (MA-020 chassis) is grippy, forgiving and great for rally-style bodies.
- Crawling over books, rocks and the garden path – the Mini-Z 4×4 (MX-01) is a tiny scale trail truck.
- Off-road fun – the Mini-Z Buggy (MB-010) is a 4WD buggy built for carpet and dirt tracks.
- A first RC car or a gift for younger drivers – First Mini-Z is simple, tough and runs on AA batteries.

Mini-Z Ready Sets come ready to run with a transmitter. You’ll need 8 × AAA batteries (4 for the car, 4 for the transmitter) – rechargeable NiMH AAA cells and a Speed House USB charger are the best value if you run often.
Mini-Z MR-04 RWD
The MR-04 is Kyosho’s latest rear-wheel-drive Mini-Z and the one to buy if you want to race. It is smoother and easier to tune than the MR-03, and many Ready Sets come with a gyro and LED lights.
