  Based on Scania’s flagship 770 S heavy tractor, this imposing model features an unusual and highly realistic 8×4/4 chassis configuration, with twin steering front axles and twin driven rear axles.

  At an impressive 610mm long, the Scania 770 S 8×4/4 has serious road presence and provides the perfect foundation for a heavyweight scale transport build.

  Based on Scania’s 770hp Flagship

  Introduced to Scania’s Next Generation range in 2020, the full-size Scania 770 S sits at the top end of the manufacturer’s heavy-truck line-up.

  Its mighty V8 turbo diesel engine produces 770hp, making it ideally suited to demanding heavy-haul applications.

  Tamiya’s model captures the imposing appearance of the real truck in impressive detail, from the accurately moulded S Series cab to the extensive auxiliary equipment positioned behind it.

  Realistic 8×4/4 Chassis

  The drivetrain and steering arrangement are among the standout features of this model.

  Just like the full-size truck, the Tamiya Scania features two steering front axles and two driven rear axles.

  The motor and transmission are mounted towards the front of the robust metal ladder-frame chassis, with power transferred to both rear axles.

  This unusual chassis configuration gives the model the authentic stance and mechanical complexity you’d expect from a specialist heavy-haul tractor.

  Functional Second Lift Axle

  Tamiya has gone even further with the front suspension by recreating the lift-axle arrangement on the second axle.

  Metal leaf springs are used throughout the suspension system, adding both mechanical realism and durability.

  A detailed interior is also supplied, including the Scania’s modern-style dashboard and seats.

  A 1/14 scale driver figure is included, together with stickers and metal transfers for adding the finishing touches to the completed truck.

  Working 3-Speed Transmission

  A fully functional 3-speed transmission adds another level of realism to the driving experience.

  When used with suitable multi-channel radio equipment and the required servo, the transmission can be shifted remotely, allowing you to change between gears while driving.

  Compatible with the Tamiya MFC-03

  For an even more realistic truck, the Scania can be equipped with the separately available Tamiya MFC-03 Multi-Function Control Unit – 56523.

  The MFC-03 adds coordinated lighting, realistic truck sounds, vibration effects and electronic speed control, dramatically increasing the realism of the completed model.

  The cab interior has also been designed so it can remain installed when using the MFC-03.
