Based on the formidable Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4151, this huge four-axle truck features twin steering front axles, twin driven rear axles, a working 3-speed transmission and a large tipper body with a durable metal subframe.

At an impressive 667mm long, the Arocs has serious road presence and is an excellent choice for anyone looking for something a little different from a conventional Tamiya tractor and trailer combination.

Realistic Mercedes-Benz Arocs Styling

The injection-moulded cab faithfully recreates the purposeful appearance of the full-size Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4151.

Tamiya has reproduced numerous scale details including the cab rails, air intake duct, side mirrors and sun visor, helping give the completed model an authentic heavy-construction truck appearance.

The roof visor also features realistic light pods which can be fitted with separately available LEDs for even greater realism.

Heavy-Duty 8×4 Chassis

Underneath the detailed cab is a substantial four-axle 8×4 chassis built around Tamiya’s proven ladder-frame construction.

Strong aluminium side channels and resin crossmembers provide the foundation for the drivetrain, suspension and large rear tipper body.

The chassis features two steering front axles and two driven rear axles, accurately reflecting the layout of a full-size heavy-duty 8×4 truck.

Both front axles are operated from a single steering servo, with the wheels turning at slightly different angles for more realistic steering geometry.

Powerful 35T Truck Motor

The Arocs is supplied with Tamiya’s TR Mighty-Tuned 35T motor, providing the low-speed torque required for a large RC truck.

Power is delivered through the transmission to the twin rear axles, providing plenty of pulling ability and allowing the truck to carry suitable loads in its tipper bed.

Working 3-Speed Transmission

A fully functional 3-speed gearbox adds another level to the driving experience.

When used with suitable multi-channel radio equipment, the transmission can be shifted remotely, allowing you to work through the gears while driving.

Combined with the torque-focused 35T motor, this gives the Arocs a much more realistic scale driving experience.

Large Tipper Bed with Metal Subframe

The substantial rear tipping body is one of the standout features of the Arocs 4151.

Tamiya uses a metal subframe beneath the bed for excellent strength and durability, allowing the truck to carry suitable scale loads.

The battery compartment is cleverly positioned above the second axle and has been designed to remain accessible even when cargo is being carried in the bed.

Fit the separately available Tamiya Tipper Truck Motorised Actuator Set – 56545 and the bed can be raised and lowered remotely from your transmitter.

Realistic Suspension

The four-axle chassis uses metal leaf springs with built-in coil springs, providing a durable suspension system while maintaining the scale mechanical appearance expected from Tamiya’s 1/14 truck range.
