Tamiya King Hauler 1/14 RC Tractor Truck Kit – 56301

The Tamiya King Hauler – 56301 is one of the true classics of Tamiya’s legendary 1/14 scale RC truck range. With its unmistakable American-style long-nose cab, twin rear axles and extensive chrome detailing, the King Hauler makes an impressive model both on display and out on the road.

Underneath the detailed bodywork is a highly realistic aluminium ladder-frame chassis, combined with solid axles, leaf-spring suspension and a fully functional 3-speed transmission. It’s a proper scale truck build and offers huge potential for further detailing and customisation.

Classic American Truck Styling

The King Hauler captures the look of a traditional American highway tractor with its long bonnet, large sleeper-style cab and imposing proportions.

The styrene plastic body can be painted and detailed to create your own unique truck, while the chrome-effect wheels and radial tyres complete the classic American big-rig appearance.

At 600mm long, this is a substantial model even before adding one of Tamiya’s 1/14 scale semi-trailers.

Working 3-Speed Transmission

The King Hauler isn’t simply about looks. Tamiya equips the chassis with a fully functional 3-speed gearbox, giving three different gear ratios:

• 1st Gear: 32.4:1
• 2nd Gear: 17.7:1
• 3rd Gear: 10.6:1

With a suitable multi-channel radio system and gear-change servo, the transmission can be shifted remotely from the transmitter.

A 540-size electric motor provides the power, while bevel-gear differentials and the twin rear-axle arrangement provide the authentic mechanical layout expected from Tamiya’s flagship truck series.

Realistic Truck Chassis

The chassis has been designed to replicate many of the features found on a full-size tractor unit.

It features a strong aluminium ladder frame, solid axles and leaf-spring suspension, while metal friction dampers provide further scale realism.
