The Tamiya Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3348 6×4 Tipper Truck – 56357 takes Tamiya’s legendary 1/14 scale truck range in a different direction, combining the detail and engineering of its tractor units with a highly realistic working tipper body.

Based on the heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz Arocs, this impressive RC model features a three-axle 6×4 chassis, twin driven rear axles, working 3-speed transmission and a detailed tipper bed which can be made fully operational using the separately available Tamiya Motorized Tipper Truck Actuator Set – 56545.

At 576mm long, it’s a substantial model and makes a fantastic project for anyone looking for something a little different from a conventional tractor and trailer combination.

Functional Tipper Body

The standout feature of the Arocs 3348 is undoubtedly its detailed tipper body.

The truck bed combines a metal subframe with resin panel sections, providing both strength and realistic scale appearance.

Install the optional Tamiya Tipper Truck Actuator Set – 56545 and the bed can be raised and lowered remotely, transforming the model into a genuinely functional RC tipper truck.

Powerful 6×4 Drivetrain

The three-axle chassis uses Tamiya’s strong ladder-frame construction with aluminium side channels and resin cross members.

A front-mounted TR Mighty-Tuned 35T motor sends power through the transmission to the twin rear axles, providing the low-speed torque required for this heavier working truck.

Both driven rear axles feature differential gears to provide smooth cornering.

Working 3-Speed Transmission

Just like Tamiya’s 1/14 tractor trucks, the Arocs 3348 features a fully functional 3-speed gearbox.

With the appropriate radio equipment and gear-shift servo installed, gears can be selected remotely from the transmitter, adding another layer of mechanical realism to the driving experience.

Realistic Heavy-Duty Suspension

The Arocs uses metal leaf-spring suspension with built-in coil springs, designed to provide the durability required by the tipper truck chassis.
