Tip: balance every new propeller before use and drill the hub accurately – a Stinger propeller drill jig makes this easy. Check the prop for damage before each flight and replace it if it is chipped or cracked.

Fitting advice

Before you fit a new propeller, check that the hub matches the prop drive on your engine and drill the bolt holes carefully.

Then balance the propeller, because an unbalanced prop causes vibration and extra engine wear. In addition, tighten the prop bolts evenly and check them again after the first run.
