JP Nylon Covering, White (2.4 sq/m)

Description

JP Nylon Covering, White is a genuine JP covering material from J Perkins. Its part number is 5524844. Guaranteed to stay taut for the life of your model: premium Nylon chosen for its exceptional strength and controlled shrinkage qualities.

JP Nylon Covering 2.4 sq/m

Nylon is suitable for open structured models and sheeted areas where strength and the very best finish is required. There is little argument that the extra time required to apply nylon is well worth while for the discerning modeller. Nylon will shrink to a very taut state and stay this way for the life of a model.

In fact care needs to be taken to ensure that it does not over tighten and cause structural deformation on lighter models. Thinning the dope or using a combination of non shrinking and shrinking dope will alleviate this.

Key features

• Exceptional Structural Strength: Sourced for its superior durability, this premium nylon is the definitive choice for open-structured models and sheeted areas where maximum reinforcement is required.
• Permanent Taut Finish: Unlike inferior materials, this nylon is specialised to shrink to a drum-tight state and remain perfectly tensioned for the entire life of the model, preventing sagging over time.
• Generous Surface Coverage: Supplied in large 2.4 sq/m sections, providing ample material to cover significant wing spans or complex fuselage geometries in a single, seamless application.
• Professional Aesthetic Versatility: Available in a range of colours, this covering provides a high-quality base that is highly receptive to traditional "dope" finishes for a classic, high-performance look.
• Customisable Tension Control: The material's responsive nature allows the discerning modeller to fine-tune the final tautness through the application of shrinking or non-shrinking dopes, ensuring a perfect, distortion-free fit.
