JP Balsa Bonded Block, 2 x 4 x 36in – a genuine JP balsa wood from J Perkins (part number JPDM01001). Neat and cleanly bonded balsa block suitable for a variety of hobby, craft and industry applications

Bonded Balsa Block

This is a solid block of balsa wood formed by expertly laminating smaller strips of premium, low-density balsa together. This process ensures you get a large, uniform working mass without the natural imperfections (knots, splits) that can be found in a single, large piece of raw timber.

  • Length: 36in

  • Bonded balsa construction: selected balsa strips laminated into a large block that is less prone to splitting and warping than solid sections.
  • Consistent density: even throughout the block for predictable carving, sanding and machining.
  • Easy to shape: cuts, carves and sands quickly with standard hobby tools, while still taking fine detail.
  • Takes glue and paint well: bonds with PVA, superglue or balsa cement, and sands smooth ready for sealing and painting.
  • Wide range of uses: ideal for model aircraft, carving, architectural landforms, prototypes and master patterns.
