The FMS 64mm EDF Series V2 brings major upgrades with a reinforced wing spar, improved landing gear installation and a more aerodynamic main wing for enhanced strength and easier assembly. Powered by an updated fan unit producing over 800g of thrust, these jets deliver noticeably higher speed and sharper aerobatic performance. Optional detachable accessories allow for drag reduction and a cleaner, high-speed flight profile.
FMS 64mm EDF Series V2: Enhanced Performance and Faster Assembly
FMS is pleased to announce that all 64mm ducted fan aircraft in the series are receiving significant upgrades. Inspired by the success of the original models, Version Two (V2) introduces a range of mechanical and structural enhancements that improve in-flight performance and reduce assembly time.
Improved Structure and Design
The addition of a fibre-reinforced wing spar significantly increases wing strength, allowing for more dynamic and confident aerobatic manoeuvres. A redesigned main wing and upgraded landing gear installation further enhance structural integrity and simplify the building process.
Boosted Power and Customisation
The latest 64mm ducted fan unit now delivers over 800 grams of thrust. Compared to the V1, the speed increase in the V2 models is substantial and easily noticeable. For those who prioritise performance, optional accessories such as missiles can be removed to reduce drag and achieve a more streamlined, high-speed flight profile.
