Eduard 1/48 Fokker Dr.I ProfiPACK Edition EDK8162
The Fokker Dr.I was a triplane fighter aircraft developed by Germany during World War I.
It was designed by Dutch engineer Anthony Fokker and was introduced in 1917.
The Dr.I had a distinctive three-wing design, which gave it excellent manoeuvrability and agility in the air.
It had a maximum speed of around 185 km/h and a range of about 300 km.
The aircraft was powered by a rotary engine and had a single machine gun mounted in front of the cockpit.
It was used primarily by the German Air Force, or Luftstreitkräfte, and was flown by several notable pilots, including Manfred von Richthofen, also known as the “Red Baron.”
The Fokker Dr.I played a significant role in the air war over the Western Front during World War I, where it was used for reconnaissance, ground attack, and air-to-air combat.
Despite its success in the air, the Dr.I had several limitations, including a tendency to stall at low speeds and a lack of armour protection for the pilot.
