There are, on occasions, reasons for customers to return products to us. In the event of this being necessary, you are required to choose the correct reason for the return, as follows (for our full terms and conditions please refer to our Website www.tjdmodels.com Returns Policy and Procedures):
If you have simply changed your mind:
If you have received an item which you have decided you do not actually wish to keep for whatever reason, then you must inform us within 7 working days, in writing. The Distance Selling Regulations (DSR) allows you to return the product but it must be in the original packaging and also, in the condition in which you received it when we receive the item back to our shop, in other words, in brand new condition and not showing signs of any kind of usage. The goods to be returned must be done so at your own expense. However, any software/CD’s or DVD’s where the seal has been broken cannot be accepted back, so please review carefully prior to opening any sealed item.
Returned Items falling within the Warranty Period:
If a product is delivered faulty or a fault occurs within the first 14 days from the delivered date (and the fault is covered under the manufacturers guarantee) then we will collect the item and have it returned to our shop, where we will inspect and if found faulty, return the item to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. If a fault occurs after the first 14 day period from delivery, then it is the consumer’s responsibility to return the item to our shop, where we will inspect and if found faulty return the item to the manufacturer for repair. Once repaired, the item will be returned to the consumer at no extra cost.
All returned goods must be returned in adequate packaging. tjd models will not be responsible for any damage that is incurred to goods that are not packaged in the original packaging that the goods were shipped in. If you do not have the original packaging, you will need to obtain some from other sources and ensure that the returning goods are protected against the rigors of courier transit. Please also send the package via a recorded delivery so that a signature is required on delivery. tjd models will not be responsible for any packages mislaid or stolen in transit.
If the returned item is found to be not faulty and the error is down to incorrect usage or operator error, the customer will be liable for the carriage costs of the goods back to us and also for returning the product back to the customer. Any engineer / inspection fees may also be charged. This must be paid before the goods are returned to the customer.
Please ensure that all goods returned have a copy of the original delivery note / proof of purchase and stating the full reasons for return. Failure to do this may slow down any repair or refund.
If your item develops a fault after the 14 working day period but is within the warranty period of the manufacturer/distributor, then you will be entitled to a warranty repair. Please return the faulty goods back to our address. The goods will need to be well packaged and sent via a recorded delivery service. Please make sure that any software, CD's and power supplies are returned too.

We shall refund you, within 30 days (less any costs), the price you paid for any goods returned, PROVIDED THAT the goods are returned by you/collected by us at your own cost and received by us in as new & unused condition.

If we happen to send you the wrong item by mistake, We do apologise for this. If this is the case for you then please contact us to let us know what has happened and return the item as soon aspossible. Unfortunetly we can not dispatch replacements to you with out the incorrectly sent item being returned to us. This is to protect ourselves and our customers from price increases.
We cannot accept any responsibility for items being returned to us that are lost in the post. It is your responsibility to see that returned goods reach us and in the condition they were sent to you. Do not use express services or we will be unable to refund you the full cost paid. If the item exceeds the level of compensation offered by standard recorded delivery we will refund you if you choose to use a special delivery service.
Items Faulty on Arrival:
If you receive your item and find it to be faulty, you have 7 working days in which to inform us of the fault. Again, all items should be returned in their original packaging complete with any accessories and/or documentation, including manuals. We will contact you upon receipt of your completed Returns Authorisation Form containing all the necessary information for us to proceed with your request, we will, then arrange to collect the item from you (at our cost) and once the fault has been verified. We will either replace or fully refund the item for you. All refunds are processed back to the original card used for payment. If however, the item is found to not be faulty, you will be charged for all return carriage costs incurred by us.
Items Damaged during Transit:
In the event that you sign for an item that has clearly been damaged in transport, in the first instance this should have been signed for as so, by adding a comment to your signature for the items with the courier. You must also still inform us within the 7 working day period if you have accepted goods which were clearly damaged when you received them by completing the Returns Authorisation Form with all the required information. Items must then be boxed in all original packaging, whether that packaging is damaged or not and again complete with any/all accessories, including paperwork and manuals. We will then arrange collection of the item. Once we receive the item back into our shop we will send a replacement item out to you or if requested, we will issue a full refund to you onto the original card used for payment of the item.
In all cases, any goods being returned must be adequately packaged and protected. tjd models will not be responsible for any damage or loss of goods that occurs in transit back to us.
