North American T-28 Trojan

North American Aviation (NAA) produced some legendary World War Two aircraft such as the P-51 Mustang fighter, and the B-25 Mitchell bomber.

At wars end the United States Air Force tapped into the vast knowledge of NAA for the purpose of developing the next generation of high performance advanced trainers to serve as a successor to the highly successful NAA T-6/SNJ Texan – Harvard.

The result was the T-28 Trojan, 1,194 "A" models were built with the Wright R-1300 800 hp engine, and the Aero Product 2-blade propeller. The Air Force used these aircraft for training and various other roles from 1950 to 1956.

In 1952, the US Navy was so impressed with the rugged Trojan that it contracted with NAA to build an improved version, know as theT-28B. This version came equipped with the more powerful 1425 hp Wright Cyclone R-1820engine, a Hamilton Standard 3-blade propeller, belly mounted speed brake, and many other changes 489 "B" models were built and used from the middle 50's to the middle 80's

A T-28C version was also built for the Navy during 1955, being equipped with a tail hook, a smaller diameter propeller, and other minor changes it was able to take off and land on aircraft carriers.A timeless classic, the magnificent T28 Trojan was the USA's piston engined military trainer during the 1950's and 60's.

The ParkZone™ T-28 comes powered with a potent 480-size, 960Kv brushless outrunner motor that provides spirited climb and sport aerobatic performance. Its tough Z-Foam™ construction is exceptionally resistant to damage, but can be easily repaired with any medium-viscosity CA or epoxy.

Finished in an authentic US Navy colour scheme of red and white with pre-applied Navy graphics, the motor cowling has rotary engine detail moulded in and the crystal clear frameless canopy is complete with scale painted pilot figure. Scale tricycle landing gear features a steerable nose leg, this means of course that with the powerful 480 brushless motor up front scale take off's and landings can be performed with ease.

The T-28 Trojan boasts a winning combination of smooth flight characteristics and scale good looks that everyone from intermediate to expert pilots will love. All you have to do is attach the wing and tail while the battery is charging and then bind its receiver to a full-range DSM2™/DSMX™ transmitter.
