This beautifully detailed WWI model is constructed from highly durable and lightweight Z foam and includes simulated manifolds, exhaust stacks, moulded machine guns, scale struts, wood effect propeller and a "Red Baron" pilot figure.

All of these scale details add to the realism of the model in flight and enhance its looks while sitting on the ground.

The model comes out of the box with full 4-channel control of rudder, elevator, ailerons and throttle. Fixed landing gear with a steerable tail wheel give great ground handling; the tail wheel working better than a tail-skid on hard surfaces.

Powered by a 480 brushless outrunner motor and an 11.1Volt LiPo battery the model has superb performance and duration and if that was not enough, the BNF Albatros opens up to the world of sonic combat, allowing pilots with installed Sonic Combat Modules (HBZ4020) to enjoy exciting air-to-air combat!

 Albatros D.Va

Used by the Luftstreitkräfte (Imperial German Air Service) during WWI, the Albatros D.Va was the final development of the Albatros D.I family and the last Albatros fighter to see operational service. With more than 1600 D.Va aircraft built before early 1918 when production was halted, the D.V was in continual service until the end of the war.

Flown by the famous Manfred von Richthofen otherwise known as the "Red Baron" the Albatros D.Va was his greatest weapon when it came to landing a victory against the enemy. Deemed to be the leading ace of WW1, Manfred von Richthofen was killed in combat at the age of 26 in 1918.

Modern thinking is divided as to whether or not he was fatally shot in aerial combat by the Canadian pilot Arthur Roy Brown or from ground fire by an Australian machine gun unit.

In any event his legend lives on in the form of the aircraft he flew and his 80 confirmed kills throughout the war.
