The new X8 is a purebred competition buggy, designed to handle the toughest demands in everyday racing. Equipped with 67mm Big Bore shocks made of hard anodised aluminium, a 4mm 7075 aluminium chassis plate - also hard anodised - plus 7mm CNC-machined aluminium shock towers. These are the standard features found on every 1:8 scale competition buggy. So what makes the X8 better than all the other competition vehicles? The devil is in the detail.
To start, it features an Insertloc Ackermann system: This enables you to turn the insert around by simply loosening the steering linkage, creating a different Ackermann effect. Moreover, we've never understood why differential buggies in this category are always trapped in huge casings; AR wasn't being stingy with material here - No! Minimising rotating mass was the magic formula here. The result is a quiet running vehicle, which not only benefits ambitious drivers but also offers an advantage to anyone planning on engaging in 1:8 off-road sport.
